BASF: The Chemical Company recently distinguished Concare, Inc. by giving the Melrose Park, IL company its prestigious Performance Flooring Project of the Year Award. The multinational manufacturer recognizes contractors who successfully and creatively use their three unique flooring technologies on noteworthy projects throughout the year. 

In addition to using a BASF epoxy, urethane concrete or methylmethacrylate system, each nominated project also fell under a specific category:  Parking Deck/Stadium, Bridge and Highway, Building and Façade Restoration or Performance Flooring.  In the Performance Flooring category, material costs must account for at least one quarter of the total project cost, or the project must have a minimum sales value of $100,000.  Additional judging criteria included overall uniqueness, application methods, value engineering and aesthetics.

The Performance Flooring Project of the Year Award recognizes the wide range of strengths Concare displayed while working at Chicagoland area Caterpillar facilities.  In addition to logging thousands of safe man hours on the job, the Concare team also successfully installed all three of BASF's flooring technologies in the form of LevelRight MM-CF, GuardRight UC and GuardRight EC. Additionally, this remarkable installation totalled more than 250,000 square feet.
