For over 40 years, Concare has been delivering high performance floor coatings to the food industry. For the past 8 years, a dry ingredient company located in Illinois continues to rely on Concare to protect their current business and their new expansion.

We recently spoke to the Vice President of Operations, and here’s what he had to say.

Q: Tell me about your experience with Concare?

A: When I took the position as Vice President of Operations 4 years ago, I noticed that part of the floor in the production area was coated. It still looked really good so I researched who it was that coated the floor and saw it was Concare.

Q: Did you continue to use Concare for the existing production area?

A: Yes. I noticed a few ‘well used’ areas on the coated concrete floors needed some attention. It wasn’t well maintained. So I called Concare to touch up some areas and I also asked them to extend the concrete coating in some additional areas.

Q: You’ve expanded your business by adding additional square feet for another production line. What are your plans for the newly poured concrete?

A: We wanted to get the floors coated right away before the equipment was delivered. We added a couple of utility rooms for our specific processes. Overall, we tried to make sure there weren’t any 90 degree angles that make it tough to clean. We clean and vacuum our floors daily.
